CONTRAINDICATIONS

Contraindicated for pregnant or nursing pets; for pets scheduled for surgery within 2 week; for pets using diuretics, anti-coagulant, blood thinning, blood pressure lowering medications and medications that help affect heart rate.

May decrease the effectiveness of ciprofloxacin (antibiotic, Cipro) the body absorbs so take at least one hour after ciprofloxacin (Cipro).

DRUG INTERACTIONS

May potentiate (strengthen) the effects of sedatives, pain killers, barbiturates, blood thinning, blood pressure, heart medications, insulin, diabetic and diuretic drugs.

May interact with medications for estrogen-sensitive cancers such as Tamoxifen (Nolvadex). is used to help treat and prevent estrogen-sensitive cancers and Pulmonaria might decrease the effectiveness of tamoxifen (Nolvadex).

CAUTIONS

Cautioned for pets with hypoglycemia and/or diabetes and blood sugar and insulin levels should be monitored. Cautioned for pets with liver damage or liver failure.
